Welcome to 2014 and the 40th anniversary of the National Low Income Housing Coalition! It was 1974 when Cushing Dolbeare convened the Ad Hoc Low Income Housing Coalition, bringing together representatives of labor, faith-based, and human services organizations to protect the interests of the lowest income people in major changes to federal housing policy.
This year, Memo to Members will feature an occasional look back at important moments in federal housing policy. But more importantly, Memo will continue to keep you informed about what is happening now and how you can help move the progressive housing agenda forward.
If you are reading Memo today because you receive it directly as an NLIHC member, thank you for your support. If you are reading Memo because someone else sent it to you, we hope you will show your appreciation by becoming a member today.
