Advocates Invited to Participate in “Tweeting for Homes”

The United for Homes campaign will hold a two-day Twitter event, “Tweeting for Homes,” on August 6-7. All housing advocates are encouraged to participate and spotlight the need for more affordable housing on Twitter. On Wednesday, August 6, state and local advocates will be tweeting in support of United for Homes. Virtual rallies are being coordinated in Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Washington, and West Virginia, although advocates nationwide are encouraged to participate. National endorsers are asked to tweet for the campaign as part of a National Endorser Day on Thursday, August 7. United for Homes is the campaign to fund the National Housing Trust Fund with revenue raised from modifications to the mortgage interest deduction.
