The conference will feature 40 workshops including Technical Assistance Sessions on Public Participation, PHA Budgeting, Enforcement, Renters’ Rights in Foreclosure; Research Sessions on Understanding the 2010 Census and Housing Data 101, Economic Impact of Affordable Housing, Data for Housing Preservation, Making the Case for Housing in Transportation; and Policy Sessions on the National Housing Trust Fund, Balanced Housing Policy and Federal Tax Expenditures, Government Sponsored Enterprises and the Future of Housing Finance, Budget and Appropriations.
NLIHC’s 29th Annual Housing Leadership Reception will be held Tuesday, March 29 at the Washington Court Hotel on Capitol Hill. Nan Roman, president of the National Alliance to End Homelessness, is the recipient of the 2011 Edward W. Brooke, III Housing Leadership Award. Florence Wagman Roisman, William F. Harvey Professor of Law at Indiana University School of Law – Indianapolis, will receive the Cushing N. Dolbeare Lifetime Service Award.
