Last week’s Memo incorrectly reported several figures in reference to the Senate’s Department of Defense and Full Year Appropriations Act, 2011. The bill would have provided a Transportation, Housing and Urban Development and Related Agencies (T-HUD) budget authority level that was $4.7 billion below that requested by the President for FY11. The bill would have also funded the Public Housing Capital Fund at $2.5 billion, level with FY10, an increase of $1 billion above the House bill, and $500 million above the President’s FY11 request. The Public Housing Operating Fund would have been funded at $4.6 billion, level with the House’s bill but $150 million below FY10 funding, and $200 million below the President’s FY11 request. The $9.3 billion requested for the Project-Based Rental Assistance account would have been $700 million below FY10, $100 million below the President’s request, and approximately level with the House bill. The Senate’s proposed decrease in funding for the Community Development Fund would have been $200 million below FY10 levels and $150 million below the President’s request.
The House bill, H.R.1, would have cut the Section 202 Housing for the Elderly program by $587 compared to the FY10 level.
