The Brunner Foundation announced a call for entries for the Rudy Bruner Award (RBA) for Urban Excellence, a national design competition celebrating urban places that are distinguished by quality design and their social and economic contributions.
One Gold Medal of $50,000 and four Silver Medals of $10,000 are awarded every two years to places that illustrate creativity and excellence. Winners offer creative place making solutions that transcend the boundaries between architecture, urban design, and planning.
Projects must be a real place, not merely a plan or program. RBA medalists range from small, grassroots initiatives to large, mixed-use developments. Examples of recent winners include:
