The Green Affordable Housing Coalition along with National Housing Conference, the U.S. Green Building Council and Enterprise Community Partners, will hold a forum on Green Retrofit Financing on July 20.
The Green Affordable Housing Coalition represents over 20 diverse organizations, including NLIHC, committed to sustainable housing that offers economic, health and environmental benefits to low income families and communities. The Coalition is focused on building and preserving through retrofits affordable housing using green, energy efficient standards.
The forum will address the challenges and barriers to finding the financial support needed to green existing affordable housing. Speakers will discuss existing green retrofit financing sources, the need for additional financing sources, and the barriers to activating these sources.
Presenters include Jason Hartke of the U.S. Green Building Council, Chrissa Pagitsas of Fannie Mae, Rick Samson of SAHF Energy, Theodore Toon of HUD, Todd Trehubenko of Recap Real Estate Advisors, Joseph Maheady of Enterprise Community Partners and moderator Ethan Handelman of the National Housing Conference.
The forum will be held from 9 am to 11:30 am on July 20 at the U.S. Green Building Council 2101 L Street, NW, Washington, DC.
