Advocates will rally at the U.S. Supreme Court on January 21, the date oral arguments are scheduled in the disparate impact case of Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs vs. The Inclusive Communities Project. NLIHC signed one of 22 amici curiae supporting the disparate impact standard in housing discrimination cases that is the subject of this case (see Memo, 1/12).
Under #KeepHousingFair, advocates will meet virtually, as well as in person outside the Supreme Court, to support the disparate impact standard in housing discrimination cases.
The National Fair Housing Alliance has organized a 9:00 am ET rally at the Supreme Court, 1 First St., NE, to show “support for ensuring that all Americans have equal access to housing.”
