The National AIDS Housing Coalition (NAHC) will host a listening session on the Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS (HOPWA) program on July 12. The purpose of the session is to explore questions that will inform the revision of the HOPWA formula, as was recommended by the Administration in its National HIV/AIDS Strategy. The current HOPWA formula, developed in 1990, determines how HUD distributes HOPWA formula grants to communities.
HIV/AIDS advocates, housing advocates, case managers, housing providers, planning council members, youth, state and city employees, housing outreach workers, shelter staff, and supportive housing consumers in the DC, MD, and VA area are encouraged to attend.
The session will be held at the Renaissance Hotel, 999 Ninth Street, NW, Washington DC.
