NLIHC and the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty will co-host a webinar for Congressional district office casework staff on December 14 from 2 to 3 pm ET. The webinar will focus on the rights of tenants in foreclosed properties and will highlight legislation recently introduced by Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) that would make the federal Protecting Tenants at Foreclosure Act permanent (see elsewhere in Memo).
The webinar will feature the following presenters: Geraldine Doetzer of the National Law Center on Homelessness and Poverty, Carrie Johnson and Rebecca Lucero of the office of Representative Keith Ellison, and Genevieve Gaboriault of Mid-Minnesota Legal Assistance.
Advocates are asked to encourage Congressional staff to register and participate, although all interested parties are welcome. Readers can register for the webinar at https://www2.gotomeeting.com/register/249096994.
