NLIHC is seeking applicants for the position of Housing Policy Analyst to track, analyze, and advocate on federal legislative and regulatory issues on NLIHC’s public policy agenda. (See http://bit.ly/1sGJYYw.)
The Analyst will be responsible for: educating Congressional offices and Administration officials on low income housing policy issues; informing NLIHC members, policy advisory committees, and other partners of opportunities to impact legislative and regulatory decisions; and representing NLIHC in Washington, DC-based working groups. The Analyst reports to the Senior Vice President for Policy.
Qualifications include highly developed written and oral communication and policy analysis skills, knowledge of federal housing policy, advanced degree in public policy or related field, and commitment to social justice. Direct experience with Congress or community-level implementation of federal housing programs are pluses.
