The National Low Income Housing Coalition is seeking a full-time executive assistant responsible for providing administrative and support services to the President/CEO and the Chief Operating Officer (COO) to assist in the effective and efficient management of the Coalition.
Responsibilities include a range of administrative support to ensure that the office of the CEO operates in an efficient manner – receiving and screening calls, scheduling meetings, referring and prioritizing requests from staff to the CEO, maintaining files, writing memos and letters, making purchases, assisting in completing organizational and funder reports, assisting with research reports, and assisting on fund development efforts. The executive assistant serves as a primary liaison with the Board of Directors for logistical and informational purposes, making facility arrangements for in-person meetings and arrange board travel and accommodations, preparing monthly Board packets, meeting materials and annual Board book, preparing correspondence from Board Chair and other Board members as needed, and taking meeting minutes at board meetings.
The executive assistant also supports the COO on such activities as managing and processing mail received, monitoring and forwarding communications, responding to requests and orders for NLIHC publications, and providing administrative support to the COO on an ongoing basis related to calendar updates, Outlook contacts, and Intern postings. The executive assistant also processes and manages all incoming revenue receipts, income tracking, bank deposits, cash logs, and database entries. The executive assistant also manages office inventories and orders supplies as needed; collects data on program activities for reports; assists with annual conferences and meetings; and compiles and updates NLICH operating procedures.
Qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts degree and strong written and oral communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skills, as well as a demonstrated positive, can-do and genial disposition. The ability to work collaboratively and collegially with others in a high paced environment is essential.
