As the country heads towards mid-term elections in November, it is time to focus on voter involvement. High voter turnout among renters, especially those with low incomes, is key to assuring that affordable housing is considered a priority by policy makers. NLIHC’s voterization initiative provides guidance to organizations working on voter registration, voter education, and voter mobilization.
Updated voterization materials are now available on NLIHC’s website. It contains a Voterization Narrative Guide, which takes advocates through the steps of launching a local voterization initiative. The Voterization Plan provides a framework for how to set goals and timelines for a successful campaign.
