
NLIHC Welcomes Fall Research Intern
Nicole Brown joins NLIHC as a fall Research Intern. Nicole’s interests are in international and domestic community development, urban development, and sustainability. Prior to NLIHC, she served as an international volunteer teacher with the Tanzanian Education Fund in Bagamoyo, Tanzania She also interned with the National Building Museum in Washington, DC assisting with their youth engagement programs. Her past research has focused on the transnational political mobilization of South Sudanese immigrants in Washington, D.C., rising urbanization, and informal housing. Nicole holds a BA in Sociology with Honors from the College of William & Mary. Nicole is originally from Vienna, Virginia.
