Registration is now open for NLIHC’s 2015 Housing Legislative Forum: Uniting to Educate, Advocate, Activate – Now! taking place March 1-3, 2015 at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington DC. The Annual NLIHC Leadership Awards Reception will cap off the three days of activities and will be held on the evening of March 3, 2015, also at the Washington Court Hotel.
The 2015 NLIHC Housing Legislative Forum will be strategic and focused in its design. It is geared specifically for NLIHC members who are actively engaged in and committed to influencing legislative action on national housing policies affecting extremely low income individuals. The forum will feature a series of provocative plenary speakers and panel discussions on the most critical legislative priorities for 2015 and on the most recent research on low income housing and poverty. Key Congressional, Administration, national nonprofit leaders and experts will speak about the changing affordable housing landscape and their take on priorities for future. Keynote speakers at the Forum include Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro and Ford Foundation President Darren Walker. On the third day of the Forum, participants will take their priorities to Capitol Hill.
This year’s Leadership Reception will honor Dr. William Apgar with the Cushing Niles Dolbeare Lifetime Service Award and OMB Director and former HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan with the Edward W. Brooke Housing Leadership Award.
Please note: Because space is tight at this year’s event, and we want to welcome as many organizations as possible to participate, we will be able to accommodate up to three attendees per organization. (A limited number of hotel scholarships are available for NLIHC low income members who are self-paying. Contact Christine Campbell 202-662-1530 x247 or email@example.com.)
Please register as soon as possible as the Forum will fill quickly!
