NLIHC members are urged to register today for NLIHC’s 2015 Housing Legislative Forum: Uniting to Educate, Advocate, Activate – Now! This year’s forum will be held on March 1-3, 2015 at the Washington Court Hotel in Washington DC. Early bird rates end on January 30.
Keynote speakers at the Forum include Secretary of Housing and Urban Development Julián Castro and Ford Foundation President Darren Walker.
The Annual NLIHC Leadership Awards Reception will cap off three days of activities on the evening of March 3, 2015, also at the Washington Court Hotel. Dr. William Apgar will be honored with the Cushing Niles Dolbeare Lifetime Service Award, and OMB Director and former HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan will be honored with the Edward W. Brooke Housing Leadership Award.
The 2015 NLIHC Housing Legislative Forum is geared for NLIHC members who are actively engaged in and committed to influencing legislative action on national housing policies affecting extremely low income people. The forum will feature a series of provocative plenary speakers and panel discussions on the most critical legislative priorities for 2015 and on the most recent research on low income housing and poverty. Key Congressional, Administration, and national leaders will speak about what housing and homeless advocates should expect in the last two years of the Obama Administration and the 114th Congress. All attendees will be prepared to deliver NLIHC’s message to Capitol Hill.
A block of rooms has been reserved for attendees at the Washington Court Hotel. Hotel scholarships are available for NLIHC low income members who are self-paying on a first-come, first serve basis. Contact Christine Campbell 202-662-1530 x247 or firstname.lastname@example.org.)
