Sakara Remmu from the Washington Low Income Housing Alliance, an NLIHC state partner, and Debra Rowe from Returning Citizens United will discuss how nonprofit organizations, resident groups and resident leaders can incorporate voter activities to engage low income residents in their work. Nayantara Mehta, senior counsel for the Alliance for Justice, will discuss what nonprofits can and cannot do when it comes to voter engagement work.
