On March 24, the Campaign for Housing and Community Development Funding (CHCDF) will present a briefing for Senate staff on “The President’s FY15 Budget Requests for Housing and Community Development Programs.” This briefing, originally scheduled for March 17, was cancelled due to the weather-related federal government closure. CHCDF is a coalition of national organizations coordinated by NLIHC.
Ten presenters will describe the details of President Barack Obama’s request for HUD and USDA Rural Housing programs, and provide information including program funding history, the impact of prior years’ funding, and the Administration’s proposed funding changes.
The briefing will be held at 11:00 am ET in room 485 of the Russell Senate office building. NLIHC urges advocates to encourage Congressional staff to attend. Staff can register by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org, and are welcome to walk in.
A separate briefing for House staff will be rescheduled.
