Senate Panel Reschedules Housing Finance Reform Hearing

The Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs has scheduled a hearing, “Housing Finance Reform: Fundamentals of Transferring Credit Risk in a Future Housing Finance System,” for December 10. The hearing was originally scheduled for November 19. The hearing will be held at 10 am in room 538 of the Dirksen Senate office building.

Scheduled witnesses are Wanda DeLeo of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, Kevin Palmer of Freddie Mac, Laurel Davis of Fannie Mae, and Ted Durant of the Mortgage Guaranty Insurance Corporation.

This hearing is a continuation of the set of hearings that the Banking Committee has been holding as it develops legislation to shape the next generation of housing finance policy.
