United For Homes Campaign Goes on the Road

NLIHC President Sheila Crowley and Outreach Associate Joe Lindstrom will travel through the state of Michigan from October 1 to October 4 for a series of eight events to highlight the United For Homes (UFH) campaign proposal to fund the National Housing Trust Fund with revenue raised with changes to the mortgage interest deduction. Hosting these meetings are: Salem Housing Community Development Corporation, Flint; Disability Network of Mid-Michigan, Midland; Housing Solutions Network, Traverse City; Reed City Housing Commission, Reed City; Disability Network Southwest Michigan and Open Doors Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo; Michigan Campaign to End Homelessness, Ann Arbor; and Alliance for Housing, Oakland County.The trip will end in Detroit where Ms. Crowley will be presenting the UFH proposal at the annual conference of the National Alliance of Community Economic Development Associations.Follow Crowley and Lindstrom on their journey via NLIHC’s blog and on Twitter (@sheilaatnlihc, @JosephLindstrom, @NLIHC).
