HUD’s Office of Recapitalization announced a webinar for December 2 that will describe how to preserve the affordability of Section 236 and Section 202 Direct Loan properties. The webinar will discuss preservation options, available resources, and how to get started on refinancing, capitalization, and renovating older multifamily buildings. The webinar will also discuss how to use HUD’s Mark-to-Market program to restructure property rents and financing.
Although a HUD Exchange email implies the webinar is limited to property owners, the contractor in charge of the webinar assures NLIHC that advocates, residents, organizers, and others are also encouraged to participate.
The webinar will be on December 2 from 2:00 – 3:00 pm ET.
The presentation slides, recording, and instruction materials accompanying the webinar will be posted on the HUD Exchange “Training and Events” page after the session airs.
