Now Available: Resources from Most Recent (5/6) Tenant Talk Live Meeting

In the most recent “Tenant Talk Live” meeting on May 6, we were joined by LaKita Steel, a community advocate for clients with vouchers in her Long Island, NY, community and in nearby Queens. In addition to discussing her advocacy work, LaKita focused on how tenants can secure their security deposits and related her own experience attempting to claim a security deposit. She also answered questions regarding the technicalities of security deposits and about what it is like to be Housing Choice Voucher holder. Learn more about the meeting by accessing the recording here. NLIHC’s next Tenant Talk Live meeting will be held on June 3 at 6 pm ET.
