Representative Paul Tonko (D-NY) has informed Representative Keith Ellison (D-MN) that he wishes to be added as a cosponsor of H.R. 1213, the Common Sense Housing Investment Act of 2013. Mr. Tonko is the fourth Member of the New York delegation to cosponsor the bill.H.R. 1213 would make changes to the mortgage interest deduction that would raise $197 billion over ten years, 60% of which would be directed to the NHTF.
