Join NLIHC’s next National HoUSed Campaign Call on July 14 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm ET. We will be joined by NLIHC’s Manager of State and Local Research Sarah Abdelhadi, who will share findings from NLIHC’s recently published 2025 National Renter Survey. We will also be joined by Claudia Center, legal director of the Disability Rights Education and Defense Fund (DREDF), Alison Nichol, director of legal advocacy at the Epilepsy Foundation, Melissa Marshall, director of policy and programs at the Partnership for Inclusive Disaster Strategies (PIDS), and Disability Rights California’s Litigation Counsel Sarah Gregory and Mental Health Practice Group Attorney Gabby Birog, who will discuss the Department of Justice’s (DOJ’s) recent legal opinion jeopardizing protections against unnecessary institutionalization for people with disabilities.
