As we approach the 2026 midterm elections, renters and communities may encounter an increasing amount of confusing, inaccurate, or misleading information about voting and the electoral process. Housing organizations, resident leaders, and community-based organizations are often trusted sources of information for residents and can play an important role in helping communities navigate a complex information environment. This webinar will provide practical strategies and resources to help housing advocates communicate accurate, nonpartisan voting information and strengthen trust with the communities they serve.
Jenny Liu of Asian Americans Advancing Justice will share her perspective on information challenges communities may encounter during the 2026 election cycle and the importance of clear, accessible, and trustworthy voter information. Her presentation will highlight how housing advocates and community-based organizations can help residents navigate complex information environments and connect with accurate, nonpartisan voting resources.
Chyann Torres of the National Voter Registration Day Campaign will share messaging strategies and best practices for communicating with voters during the 2026 election cycle. Her presentation will provide practical approaches that housing advocates can use to engage renters and communicate voting information clearly and effectively.
Bianca Rosales, Director of Partnerships at the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition, will also provide a brief spotlight on Voter Education Week, sharing opportunities for housing advocates and community-based organizations to uplift voter education and provide residents with accurate, nonpartisan election information.
