Tenant Talk | Volume 17, Issue 1
May 07, 2026
NLIHC’s spring 2026 edition of Tenant Talk, Collective Strength Through Adversity, focuses on how marginalized communities across the country, including people with disabilities and low-income tenants, have faced and overcame challenges steaming from recent attacks on advocacy spearheaded by the current administration. The semiannual newsletter is aimed at engaging residents in housing advocacy.
This issue outlines the important and vital role communities play in the housing justice movement and how advocacy tools can be adapted and used to influence meaningful change. Tenant perspectives on creating power at the local level are also featured. NLIHC’s policy and research teams offer resources on funding topics, including information on the 21st Century ROAD to Housing Act, recently proposed HUD rules, and more.
