DakotaPlex units are built by inmates at the Mike Durfee State Prison. Units are two and three-bedroom units to be used as affordable rental housing. DakotaPlex units must be placed in rural communities with populations of 5,000 or less. Homes can be purchased by community or non-profit organizations and for-profit developers.
