NLIHC is excited to announce the launch of a new podcast titled “Common Ground.” This storytelling podcast will explore the connections between housing, homelessness, and the work of influencers, cultural leaders, artists, entertainers, and advocacy organizations. We will bring together partners from various sectors to discuss the reasons behind their commitment to housing issues, how these concerns align with their values and work, and the changes they hope to effect.
In the first episode, “How Housing and Homelessness Are Portrayed in the Media and Why That Matters,” we sat down with journalist and author Brian Goldstone, who was recently interviewed on CBS Sunday Morning to discuss what it means “When the employed are pushed into homelessness.” His new book, “There Is No Place for Us,” offers a deeply human perspective on America's homelessness crisis. Drawing on years of reporting on housing and inequality, Brian shares his motivations for telling these stories and the truths he uncovered along the way.
Stay tuned—coming soon to all streaming platforms!
