Framework for an Equitable COVID-19 Homelessness Response Launches Webinar Series

The Framework for an Equitable COVID-19 Homelessness Response launched a webinar series on July 15 to help communities plan how to use their coronavirus relief funds to equitably address the needs of people experiencing homelessness. A recording and slides from the first webinar held last week, “Harnessing the American Rescue Plan to Prevent and End Homelessness,” can be found at: https://tinyurl.com/6prnvbhv

Hosted by federal housing and homelessness policy experts, this four-part series provides advocates and program administrators with the information and tools they need to use a wide range of federal funding sources strategically to meet public health goals, increase housing stability, and prevent future increases in homelessness, all with a racial justice and equity lens. The webinars will build upon the resources developed by the Framework team to help communities maximize the use of their COVID-relief funding and ensure their efforts further racial equity.

Upcoming webinar topics include:

  1. Funding and Implementing an Equitable Prevention and Rehousing Continuum (July 22 at 3 pm ET)
  2. Housing Navigation and Landlord Engagement (August 5 at 3 pm ET)
  3. Connecting Housing Resources and Supportive Services (TBD)
