It’s Not Too Late! Submit Your Nomination for NLIHC’s 2026 Annual Organizing Awards
Jan 16, 2026
Did an organization you know lead an outstanding statewide, regional, citywide, neighborhood, or resident organizing effort in 2025 that resulted in a win? We want to recognize it!
NLIHC’s Annual Organizing Awards honor accomplishments that advance our mission to achieve racially and socially equitable public policy ensuring that people with the lowest incomes have quality homes that are accessible and affordable in communities of their choice. Only members of NLIHC are eligible for this award.
Awards will be presented at the 2026 Annual Policy Forum on March 12 at the Washington Hilton Hotel in Washington, DC. Special consideration will be given to nominations that center tenant or resident leadership and prioritize racial equity.
Eligibility and Criteria
- Nominated organizations must be current NLIHC members.
- Organizations may self-nominate.
- NLIHC board members and Award Committee members may not nominate an organization with which they are employed or affiliated.
An Organizing Awards Committee composed of NLIHC board members and previous award recipients will select the 2026 honorees. NLIHC will provide two representatives from each honored organization with complementary Policy Forum registration and lodging.
