Join NLIHC’s next national HoUSed campaign call on August 11 from 4:00 pm to 5:00 pm ET. This will be the last scheduled HoUSed call in August. We will be joined by Maddie Geschu, director of policy and advocacy with the Protecting Immigrant Families Coalition, who will discuss the impact of the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS’s) updated public charge rule on access to assisted housing for immigrants and their families. We will also hear from Kevin Hill, senior policy advisor at the National Community Reinvestment Coalition, who will provide an overview of the Trump administration’s recently proposed changes to the “Community Reinvestment Act” and their potential impact on communities. Todd Holloway, disability integration advisor for the Washington State Coalition on Inclusive Emergency Planning, will provide a field update on the ongoing wildfires in Seattle, Washington.
