NLIHC and the NLIHC-led Disaster Housing Recovery Coalition host weekly national calls on “Coronavirus, Homelessness, and Housing” every Monday at 2:30 pm ET. These calls feature leaders from Congress, the administration, state and national partners, local homeless service and housing providers, and NLIHC sharing the latest information on how federal, state, and local governments are responding to the COVID-19 pandemic, its impact on people experiencing homelessness and low-income households, and how you can help advocate for needed resources. Today’s (April 13) call at 2:30 to 4:00 p.m. ET, will feature Representative Chuy Garcia (D-IL) and Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) and partners from Maine, Ohio, Chicago, Colorado and more. The NLIHC-led Disaster Housing Recovery Coalition (DHRC) continues to advocate for a broad array of resources and protections for the lowest-income renters and people experiencing homelessness, including emergency rental assistance and eviction prevention assistance, a national moratorium on evictions and foreclosures, and more emergency funds for homelessness service providers, housing authorities, and housing providers, among other recommendations. For more information, see DHRC’s full list of recommendations, which will continue to be expanded and refined.

NLIHC is also maintaining a regularly updated COVID-19/Housing and Homelessness News and Resource page here.
