Jun 05, 2026
Join NLIHC’s Our Homes, Our Votes campaign on Monday, June 8, at 3:00 pm ET for “Mobilizing Voters After Louisiana v. Callais: Nonpartisan Action Steps for 2026.” Building on OHOV’s recent webinar of the Supreme Court’s ruling, this webinar will focus on the aftermath of the decision and the growing redistricting, voting rights, and civic engagement developments unfolding across the country.
Participants will hear from Michael Li, Senior Counsel at the Brennan Center for Justice, who will provide an overview of the post-Callais landscape and key developments advocates should be watching. The webinar will also feature perspectives from Waikinya Clanton of the Southern Poverty Law Center and Monica Riley of Alabama Alliance, who will share lessons and strategies from organizing and voter engagement efforts on the ground in Mississippi and Alabama.
Attendees will leave with a better understanding of the evolving voting rights landscape and practical, nonpartisan strategies to educate, engage, and mobilize communities ahead of the 2026 election cycle. Housing advocates, tenant leaders, civic engagement practitioners, and community-based organizations are encouraged to attend.
