NLIHC is accepting applications for internship positions for the fall 2026 semester. Interns are highly valued and fully integrated into our staff work. We seek students passionate about racial and social equity with excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
The available positions are:
- Research Intern: The Research Intern will assist in ongoing research of state and local housing trust funds (such as who they serve, how they are funded, what activities they support) or other state housing programs, write articles on current research for Memo to Members & Partners, attend briefings, and respond to research inquiries. - Communications Intern: The Communications Intern will assist the NLIHC Communications Team in the creation and production of a wide range of communications materials and projects, including but not limited to, social media content, Instagram Reels, written and digital publications, fact sheets, reports, toolkits, newsletters, website content, email marketing campaigns, YouTube thumbnails, graphics, infographics, videos, webinars, and other multimedia assets. Applicants should have strong written and verbal communication skills and experience with communications, marketing, digital media, content creation, or related fields. Familiarity with Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop), Canva, Adobe Express, social media platforms, and content management systems is preferred.
