This month’s “Tenant Talk Live” meeting featured two of NLIHC’s disaster recovery experts: Noah Patton and Meghan Mertyris. They provided information on disaster recovery definitions, the impact of disasters on housing and tenants, and the distinction between short- and long-term recovery assistance. They also discussed federal disaster recovery programs and offered guidance on how tenants can prepare for a disaster. Attendees had the opportunity to ask questions about the current lack of research on disaster-impacted areas, ongoing concerns with insurance, and other related topics. View a recording of the meeting here. The next Tenant Talk Live meeting will be held on December 2 at 6 pm ET (5 pm CT, 4 pm MT, 3 pm PT).
As always, don’t hesitate to reach out to Sid Betancourt at [email protected] if you have any questions or feedback.
