The Connection

Now Available: Resources from 8/3 “Tenant Talk Live” Meeting

Aug 07, 2026

The August "Tenant Talk Live" featured NLIHC IDEAS Intern and Georgia State University Graduate Research Assistant, Treasure Evans. Treasure is pursuing her Master of Arts in Sociology, where she uses mixed methodological research, data analysis, and policy advocacy to help communities and programs measure impact, gain insights, and thrive.

In her presentation, Treasure led an informative discussion on Community Action Agencies (CAAs) across various regions, covering what CAAs are, how they partner with local communities and businesses, and their historical significance. She also shared key resources for tenants and residents looking to find their local CAA. Attendees then joined smaller group sessions to discuss their experiences with Community Action and how other organizations in their areas are taking part in similar holistic, wraparound services for their communities.
