Recap of 10/15 National HoUSed Campaign Call

NLIHC hosted a national HoUSed campaign call on October 15. NLIHC’s Kim Johnson kicked off the call with a discussion about Congress’s recently passed continuing resolution and what to expect when members of Congress return from recess, and NLIHC’s Meghan Mertyris gave updates about the impacts of Hurricanes Helene and Milton. Dave Heisterkamp, a counsel with NLIHC Tribal partner United Native American Housing Association (UNAHA), joined UNAHA Chair and member of NLIHC’s Board of Directors Sharon Vogel to discuss UNAHA’s work advancing affordable housing solutions in tribal communities in the Northern Plains region. NLIHC’s nonpartisan Our Homes, Our Votes (OHOV) campaign Project Manager Courtney Cooperman shared information about the upcoming elections and available OHOV resources. We also received updates from the field. The next NLIHC national HoUSed campaign call will be held on November 11 from 2:30 to 3:30 pm ET. Register for the call at: https://tinyurl.com/ru73qan
