The Senate is expected to begin voting on the FY19 Transportation-HUD (THUD) appropriations bill (S.3023) today, July 23. This spending bill builds on the 10% increase in HUD funding that advocates and congressional champions secured in FY18 by providing $1.8 billion in new resources for FY19. Overall, the bill provides HUD programs with more than $12 billion above the president’s FY19 request and more than $1 billion above the House bill. The House has yet to vote on their THUD appropriations bill.
