Still Time To Urge Your Senator to Sign AFFH “Dear Colleague” Letter

Senator Sherrod Brown (D-OH) continues to circulate a “Dear Colleague” letter encouraging HUD Secretary Shaun Donovan to “swiftly complete” a final rule regarding a jurisdiction’s obligation to affirmatively further fair housing (AFFH). HUD issued a proposed rule on July 19, 2013 (see Memo, 7/19/13).
Senators Tammy Baldwin (D-WI), Cory Booker (D-NJ), Barbara Boxer (D-CA), Richard Durbin (D-IL), Al Franken (D-MN), Tim Kaine (D-VA), Patrick Leahy (D-VT), Patty Murray (D-WA), Bernard Sanders (D-VT), and Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) have already signed the letter.
Advocates are urged to contact their Senators to sign the letter to Secretary Donovan. Senators can contact Megan Cheney, [email protected] to sign the letter.
