Transportation for America Equity Caucus to Hold Briefing on the Impact of Infrastructure Policies on Vulnerable Communities

The Equity Caucus, along with the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, PolicyLink, Transportation for America and the Congressional Tri-Caucus, will hold a briefing on infrastructure policies on October 21.
The Equity Caucus is the cooperative effort of the nation’s leading civil rights, community development, racial justice, economic justice, faith-based, health, housing, labor, environmental justice, tribal, public interest, women’s groups and transportation organizations, including NLIHC. The Caucus works to further transportation policies that advance economic and social equity.
The briefing will discuss the surface transportation reauthorization bill and policy proposals to ensure that communities benefit equitably from national investments in transit.
Presenters include Angela Glover Blackwell, PolicyLink; James Corless, Transportation for America; Chanelle Hardy, National Urban League; Catherine Singley, National Council of La Raza; and Melivin Tabilas, National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development.
