Tenant Talk | Volume 16, Issue 2
Sep 25, 2025
NLIHC’s fall 2025 edition of Tenant Talk, Navigating Funding Cuts: Empowering Tenants to Shape Policy, focuses on the federal budget process and encourages tenant advocates to take action to support housing programs at the local and federal levels. The semiannual newsletter is aimed at engaging residents in housing advocacy.
This issue outlines the effects of proposed federal budget cuts on housing programs and who will be most impacted. NLIHC’s policy and research teams offer resources on funding topics, including the reconciliation bill, 2026 housing voucher needs, the ROAD to Housing Act of 2025, and more. Tenant perspectives on the significance of housing security and what it means to be reliant on federal programs are also featured.
