NLIHC Commemorates Women’s History Month

Mar 27, 2026

This March, NLIHC proudly celebrates Women’s History Month—a time to honor the women leaders, advocates, and changemakers whose contributions and achievements have shaped our history. Each year, Women’s History Month highlights the impact of women across generations. The 2026 theme, designated by the National Women’s History Alliance, is “Leading the Change: Women Shaping a Sustainable Future.” This theme recognizes women who are working toward a world where everyone has the opportunity to live and thrive.

At NLIHC, we are honored to be led by two extraordinary women: President and CEO Renee M. Willis and Board Chair Dr. Bambie Hayes-Brown. Their leadership exemplifies this year’s theme as they continue to lead the charge to ensure that people with the lowest incomes have quality, accessible, affordable homes in communities of their choice.
