NLIHC is Hiring: Housing Policy Analyst and Assistant to the President

NLIHC seeks applicants for a housing policy analyst position. The analyst tracks, analyzes and advocates on federal legislative issues related to NLIHC’s mission. Duties include educating Congressional offices on low income housing policy issues; staffing and coordinating working groups convened by NLIHC; and informing members and partners of opportunities to influence policy decisions. Qualifications include highly developed communication and policy analysis skills; knowledge of and experience with federal housing policy, programs and finance; direct experience with the legislative process; and a commitment to housing justice. A master’s degree is preferred. The position reports to the senior vice president for policy.

NLIHC also seeks applicants for the position of assistant to the president. Duties include providing administrative support services to the president/CEO and vice president for operations, as well as logistical support for the Board of Directors. Qualifications include highly developed organizational, administrative, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills; proficiency in all Microsoft Office software applications; and a commitment to social justice. A bachelor’s degree is required; non-profit experience is preferred.
