NLIHC’s Our Homes, Our Votes Nonpartisan Campaign Launched Best Practices Report and Announces Mini-Grant Program

Compiled with strong contributions and meaningful assessments from the pilot communities of NLIHC’s OHOV campaign, NLIHC released the Turning Renters into Voters: Lessons in Engaging Low-Income Communities best practices report. 

Alongside launching the best practices report, OHOV established its first-ever mini-grant program to increase our field’s capacity to engage voters. The mini-grant program will fund nonpartisan activities that empower low-income renters and/or people experiencing homelessness to participate in the democratic process. 

The Impact

NLIHC’s OHOV Campaign Celebrated National Vote Early Day on 10/28 

Vote Early Day is a nonpartisan civic holiday dedicated to raising awareness of early voting opportunities and getting out the early vote. NLIHC’s OHOV campaign joined thousands of Vote Early Day partners nationwide to empower Americans to cast their ballots ahead of Election Day and make their voices heard.
