This month’s “Tenant Talk Live” featured NLIHC Research Analyst Nada Hussein who presented NLIHC’s advocacy for tenant protections at the state and local level. Participants of this week’s call learned more about the state and local tenant protections NLIHC has tracked since 2021, including rent stabilization, right to counsel, eviction record sealing, source-of-income anti-discrimination policies. You can find an overview here.
Nada also presented the work of NLIHC’s Southeastern Tenant Protections Cohort, whose aim is to strengthen tenant protections in this region of the U.S. to better protect renters against eviction and housing instability.
You can view this week’s recording here.
