Recap of NLIHC’s 2/13 National HoUSed Campaign Call

NLIHC hosted a national HoUSed campaign call on February 13. U.S. House Committee on Financial Services Ranking Member Maxine Waters (D-CA) joined the call to offer her thoughts about Congress’s role in addressing the affordable housing crisis, and U.S. Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Chair Sherrod Brown (D-OH) provided recorded remarks regarding his outlook for affordable housing in the 118th Congress. Members of NLIHC’s policy team described potential threats to HUD’s and USDA’s affordable housing and homelessness programs and shared opportunities for advancing bipartisan legislation. We also shared a new advocacy toolkit for opposing budget cuts to essential federal investments in affordable housing and explained how call participants could get involved.

A recording of the call, as well as the presentation slides, are now available.
