The Connection

Thank You for Making 2026 Summer of IDEAS Possible

Oct 02, 2026

This summer, NLIHC hosted nearly 1,000 individuals across our three Summer of IDEAS events, each exploring housing instability, stability, and the power of storytelling to move us toward change. Our programming began with "No Place to Grow Old," a film screening and conversation on homelessness among older adults. Then we went to Baltimore to explore the fight for stability, and we closed with Project Home’s Finding Home, which looked at housing instability for young people who have aged out of foster care. Whether you joined us once or all three events, your presence and curiosity made this series what it was.

If you are interested in keeping these types of conversations going, listen to "Growing Older, Growing Invisible" on "The Common Ground," and stay tuned for "What Stability Makes Possible" this October. Recordings of all three events are available below, and you can find The Common Ground on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Amazon Music, and SoundCloud.

Join us at NLIHC's 2027 Housing Policy Forum, March 2-5, 2027, and stop by our table to hear what's planned for Summer of IDEAS 2027. Until then, stay connected by joining the NLIHC network for updates and ways to take action.
