Minnesota Housing Partnership’s 2x4 Report on Housing Trends

The Minnesota Housing Partnership’s (MHP) 2x4 report is a semi-annual publication that tracks two trends in each of four housing areas: the rental market, the homeownership market, homelessness, and the housing industry.  The latest edition reports 8,085 homeless children in the four public school systems that 2x4 tracks.  It also reports 4,344 evictions in the first quarter of 2015.  Minnesota’s state legislature recently passed a budget that provides a $25.5 million increase for housing programs, a victory for Homes for All, a coalition of more than 150 organizations dedicated to housing stability for all Minnesotans. Homes for All is led by MHP and the Minnesota Coalition for the Homeless (MCH), NLIHC State Coalition Partners.
