NLIHC has developed a model resolution governing boards of organizations or units of government can use to endorse the proposal.

The resolution is appropriate for use with any kind of entity such as religious institutions, labor unions, businesses, foundations, and nonprofit organizations, as well state legislatures, city, county, or town councils, tribal governments, housing authorities, school boards, and behavioral health authorities. Adoption of the resolution automatically means the entity has endorsed the proposal.

Once the resolution is passed, the information should be recorded in a specially created online form. Please click here to let us know about passage of the resolution in your community.

NLIHC Outreach Associates will assist you in locating the data needed for each resolution. The resolution can be adapted to help it fit with local circumstances. Contact [email protected] for assistance in customizing the resolution for your community.

The model resolution template is attached (Word Document).

Passing a resolution is one way to endorse the National Housing Trust Fund and the Housing Tax Reform proposal. Alternatively, organizations can fill out this endorsement form.
