New Mexico's Move In Assistance and Eviction Prevention (MIAEP) program is intended to assist individually qualified households with rent, damage deposit, utility deposits, utilities, or other approved costs directly related to housing. Applicant (or dependent) must have a diagnosed/documented serious mental illness or co-occurring substance use disorder, homeless or at risk of homeless, and be active in services. Applicants can receive a grant up to $1,000 grants every 3 years. Nonprofit MIAEP providers serve 3 to 9 county service areas, covering every county in NM.
