By law, the child welfare housing subsidy is available to assist with paying for housing for youth ages 18-21 who have been discharged from foster care, and for families to assist with reunification or to prevent the need for foster care. Families and youth can also receive a one-shot grant to assist with housing costs such as furniture and deposits.
